Telson was a learned symbologist and fiercely protective companion who sealed the Mountain Prisoner beneath a collapsing volcano so her friends could escape.

Symbologist and companion
Telson studied every known ancient language and travelled with Jinpachi and Norri for at least five years. She collected inscriptions by rubbing charcoal over parchment and preserved fragments of script, diagrams and recovered documents in her satchel.
She was also a formidable spellcaster. The record shows her using blessings of concealment, fire magic and a powerful protective scroll. Her scholarship never made her passive: she was famously unforgiving toward anyone who harmed her friends.
The rescue
When the party fell beneath the mountain, Telson avoided the black reservoir and used a rope to pull Jinpachi and Norri from it. Brief contact with the liquid disturbed even her memories; her companions, fully submerged, initially remembered almost nothing.
Throughout the ruined complex she copied the unknown prison script and was the first to translate the repeated symbol meaning Prison.
Sacrifice beneath the mountain
After the Mountain Prisoner’s manifestation fell, Telson carried a blue scroll through the collapsing structure. Near the exit she gave Jinpachi her satchel, turned and used the scroll to form a shield across the cavern.
The black liquid could not cross while she maintained the spell. She refused rescue because losing concentration would have killed all three and released the entity immediately. Her last spoken clue to Jinpachi and Norri was Bow of Arveria.
The shield brightened as the survivors escaped, and the cavern collapsed around her. Later characters speak of her as fallen, but no body was recovered; the strict archival status is therefore presumed dead beneath the mountain.
Final words
Telson turned her head toward Jinpachi and Norri and surged the failing shield. Time seemed to stop. She gave them three words:
“Bow of Arveria”
As they ran for the sunlight, the blue light behind them brightened and Telson’s voice carried through the collapsing cave:
“I condemn this mountain,
And seal this way shut
Let it crawl, let it struggle,
Let it burrow through the deepest darkness of this world.
For just blink of hope”.
