Aurelion is the militant Hand of Dawn, champion of ordered justice and first among the Overgods who struck down Earin.
Dawn is not gentle. It drives the dark from every place it has claimed.
The Hand of the Creator
Aurelion was shaped to act where Earin willed. In the first age he raised continents, set the courses of the greater lights and defended young creation against things that pressed in from the void. He came to understand duty as action: a truth unmade is merely an intention.
When Earin demanded perfect obedience, Aurelion was the first to refuse. He led the assault that shattered the Creator and bears neither apology nor triumph for it. His clergy teach that justice may demand a terrible act without making that act clean.
The Bright Expanse
Aurelion rules the Bright Expanse, a plane of high white citadels, endless morning and roads that reveal every footprint. Souls who seek judgement are said to see their lives cast as long shadows across its gold floors.
The Expanse is ordered, but not merciful by default. Aurelion's law promises renewal only after wrongdoing is named and answered. For this reason prisoners, reformers and rulers all invoke him—sometimes against one another.
Churches of the Dawn
His temples face east and open their principal doors before sunrise. Magistrates swear office over cold iron hammers; paladins strike shields once before battle to declare that force is being used under judgement rather than appetite.
The most respected Dawn Orders maintain courts, refuges and rebuilding companies together. Their doctrine holds that punishing evil without repairing its harm serves pride, not justice.
The unending dispute
Aurelion's sternest critics accuse him of inheriting the very certainty for which Earin was destroyed. His followers reply that the difference is accountability: even the Hand of Dawn must state his charge and submit it to witness.
His relationship with Kaelith remains strained by her grief for Earin, while Verris often restrains his haste with knowledge he would rather act without. Together they remain the three pillars of the ordered heavens and the oldest fracture within it.
