Eaerin is both a world and the devine creator of the world: a world raised from the shattered body of the First Light.
Before light itself, before all things. There was only Earin.
Overview
Eaerin is the mortal world and the central realm of the known planes. Its continents, mountain chains and deepest caverns were formed when the Overgods struck down Earin, the First Light, after his demand for perfect obedience turned to wrath.
Civilisations rose upon that divine ruin without understanding its full nature. Faith, magic and geography are therefore inseparable: sacred places often follow old wounds in the world, and relics may be fragments of something that was never truly dead.
The divine fracture
According to the oldest hymns, reality began when Earin drew order from the void and shaped the Overgods from his breath. When he later took flesh, he sought to make creation flawless by force. Aurelion, Verris and Myrren rebelled, shattered him, and cast the pieces of his body into the newborn world.
Whether this was salvation, murder or both remains the oldest dispute in Eaerin's theology.
The present age
The current era is marked by weakening boundaries between realms, contested histories and the rediscovery of objects once dismissed as allegory. The Gizmagrad campaign and the recovery of the Lantern have placed the oldest myths back into mortal hands.
