Kittleton lies east of the central mountains near a research outpost where scholars had begun studying newly encountered ancient runes.
The nearer lead
Scholars passed through Gren’s Hollow on their way to a dig near Kittleton. Their subject was an ancient script they had not encountered before, making the site the nearest plausible lead on the Venerated.
Difficult geography
Kittleton lies away from Foxgorn and the most direct road home. If its dig proved unrelated, reaching Vöartenstadt required either crossing the Startenheim River at its southern bridge and entering the mountains, or making a long detour east.
Last recorded destination
Jinpachi and Norri chose Kittleton because investigating the threat mattered more than immediately reaching home. The campaign record ends while they are selecting a route across the last outcrop before the road turns east.
