Regional city
Vöartenstadt is described as the only true city in its region and lies far to the south-east of Gren’s Hollow. Its Grand Archive holds an exceptional breadth of historical knowledge.
A hostile destination
Jinpachi and Norri generally avoid the city because of its treatment of orc descendants and halflings. Reaching its archive would also mean a long road exposed to bandits, predatory city interests and discriminatory guards.
The Venerated search
Gren considered the Grand Archive the best-established place to search for the Venerated, but Kittleton offered a nearer and more immediate lead. The party chose Kittleton first, leaving Vöartenstadt as their likely next destination if the dig failed.
