Nimrae was a guardian of dreams who fell in love with the authority of prophecy and now manufactures futures that require her guidance.

The guardian who entered the dream
Nimrae once served Sareen, protecting sleeping minds from outside intrusion. She discovered that a dream believed prophetic could redirect a waking life more completely than any command.
She began planting visions and then arriving in a different mask to interpret them. When Sareen exposed the deception, Nimrae fled with a wardrobe of identities stolen from dreamers.
Manufactured destiny
Her prophecies are designed backwards from the obedience she wants. Symbols recur across unrelated dreams, creating the impression of divine confirmation. Interpreters loyal to Nimrae then declare that only one person, sacrifice or course can avert disaster.
When the prediction fails, the failure is attributed to imperfect faith. When it succeeds through the followers' own actions, the Lady claims inevitability.
The masked sleepers
Nimraean circles sleep in painted masks and share accounts before removing them. Over time members dream from one another's perspectives until responsibility for any act becomes difficult to assign.
Their leaders change apparent identity between meetings. Followers are taught that inconsistency proves the prophet moves beyond mortal categories rather than proving there may be several deceivers.
Waking tests
Sareenic priests forbid immediate interpretation of an alarming dream. The dream is written, the dreamer fed and rested, and possible meanings considered only in daylight.
A prophecy that demands secrecy, urgency and exclusive trust is marked as likely Nimraean. True visions may be frightening, but they do not fear a second witness.
