Overview
Far below Gizmagrad lies a curved expanse of pale material too large to perceive as a skull from any single chamber. Tunnels meet surfaces resembling bone, crystal and stone depending on the observer and the hour.
Channels cut by the Delacroix forge draw a red-gold substance described as Earin's blood. It does not clot, cool or agree on which direction time is moving.
History
The founder did not initially understand what lay beneath Delacroix Rock. Early excavations followed warmth and discovered the first blood seam. The Paradox Engine was constructed around it over several generations.
House Delacroix concealed the source while its impossible lineage and machines reshaped Gizmagrad. The Drowning forced emergency seals around the lowest works, and some archives claim an entire section of the head opened its eye.
The present record
Only fragments of the underforge remain accessible. Scholars debate whether draining the blood weakened Earin, preserved him or gradually taught the dead god the shape of the city above.
The head has begun producing a sound exactly one heartbeat behind anyone who listens to it.
